Location
Cracow is a city with poviat rights located in southern Poland on the Vistula river. It is the second city in the country in terms of population and area. It was the capital of Poland until 1795 and the coronation city with the necropolis of the kings of Poland, from the year 1000 the capital of the Cracow diocese (one of five in contemporary Poland). From 1925, the archdiocese and the metropolis. Krakow obtained the city location before 1228, the re-location in 1257, since the regaining of independence in 1918. The provincial city (since 1998 the seat of the Małopolska province authorities) is also the central metropolitan centre of the Krakow agglomeration and the Krakow Metropolitan Area. In historical records, Krakow is considered the main city of historic Małopolska.

The city has cultural institutions of national significance and status, including National Old Theater, National Museum, National Pantheon, National Archives, Jagiellonian Library, Book Institute, Special Operations Center, National Rugby Center.
The city with poviat rights functions as an administrative, cultural, educational, scientific, economic, service and tourist centre. Kraków is the second largest, after Warsaw, market for modern office space (over one million square meters of office space), as well as one of the key railway hubs in Poland. In Balice near Kraków there is the second largest airport in Poland in terms of the number of passengers serviced each year.
The idea of the project
The main idea was to create a residential building from simple solids, which then cut and bound together created a unique form of a new building.
It is a single-family house, situated on a plot near the city, in a distance that freeing inhabitants from the bothersome bustle, mobility, unpredictable meetings and ordinary curiosity. It allows to preserve city citizenship and participate in the life of this community.

The area was chosen carefully. A vast area designated for the construction of a house and a backyard park, covers a small hill with a gentle, sunny slope, with noticeable differences in the height of the terrain. Next to agricultural areas; then a small river. The situation offers insights into the countryside and distant views, until the trees in the planned park provide more intimacy, sheltering the house discretely from the unpredictable neighbourhood. Access is possible from the side of the road in the lowest part of the area. There is a water, electricity, telephone and gas network, no sewage and heating network on the site.
