The idea of the urban design

The aim of the task was to develop 8 plots located near the centre of the newly created district - Vinge. Due to the assumptions of EFFEKT + Henning Larson Architects, almost 50% of plots area has been developed as green areas - parks and grass spaces with modern look. They will help with socializing new inhabitants and be a leisure space for families.

Very important was to open the space for natural greenery - lakes and green stripe in the city to attract people to using them, spending more time with family and friend outside.

The idea of the architectural project

The next step was to design a low-rise residential housing with a diverse functional layout. The houses were said to be modular, simple and quick to build, and if possible completely prefabricated. It was very important to build them from organic and natural materials, like wood and stone, taken from local producers. The project is referring to the classic values of Scandinavian architecture and combine them with a modern and very simple form.
